Intex® Medical Imaging Film

INTEX® General Radiography films, XOG, XRP & HSB, are designed for medical x-ray applications where they are subject to a variety of processing conditions. The characteristics of INTEX® films provide consistent and reliable results under all conditions. INTEX®  films are suitable for a wide range of general radiographic procedures with excellent detail throughout the diagnostic range. INTEX® films are coated on a blue polyester base, and exhibit excellent handling characteristics, long shelf life, low fog, and high sharpness.

INTEX® Specialty films incorporate the latest development in emulsion technology, resulting in the optimum combination of speed, sharpness, and fine grain for maximum detail. MRB/C films are designed for CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Digital Radiography and Nuclear Medicine applications. IRB, IRC, HN, HNC films are designed for Laser Imaging. DUP films are designed for duplication of general and specialty films.

XOG film is a medium-speed, medium-high contrast orthochromatic film for use with blue/green emitting rare-earth intensifying screens. Contrast is high enough for angiography, lung details and lower density areas. Excellent contrast with soft tissue detail.

XRP film is U.V./blue-sensitive x-ray film. It provides excellent detail throughout the entire diagnostic range. XRP film reduced patient dosage and offers a broad range of system speeds when used in combination with blue-emitting rare-earth and calcium tungstate intensifying screens.

HSB film is a fine grain, high contrast U.V./blue sensitive x-ray film. When used in combination with blue emitting rare-earth intensifying screens HSB film achieves detail similar to that of high-speed, calcium tungstate screens with XRP film, at approximately one-half the exposure. The enhanced speed allows for reduced radiation dosage.

XOGL film is a medium-speed, wide-latitude orthochromatic film. Provides more information in low-density areas. Exceptional for retrocardial and thorax exposures, and for portable and soft-tissue exams.

MRB/MRC films are a high contrast, single emulsion, orthochromatic film designed for multi-imaging applications in CT, MRI, ultrasound, digital radiography, nuclear medicine, and extremity radiographs. Available both in blue (MRB) and clear base (MRC).

IRB/IRC films are a medium-high contrast laser imaging film enabling high maximum densities and excellent gray scale reproduction. For multi-imaging applications in CT, MRI, digital radiography. This film is designed for optimum results in infrared laser printers using diodes in the 820nm range. Available both in blue (IRB) and clear base (IRC).

HN/HNC films are a medium-high contrast laser imaging film enabling high maximum densities. For multi-imaging applications in CT, MRI, and digital radiography. This film is sensitized for all helium-neon (output 633nm) laser recorders. Available both in blue (HN) and clear base (HNC).

DUP is a direct reversal film, designed to produce accurate copies of conventional radiographs and video images using both ultraviolet or white light. This film exhibits uniform linearity in density reproduction. The contrast scale of the original radiographs are reproduced, providing maximum diagnostic value.

Processing: Intex film is compatible with all reputable brand chemicals and is suitable for automatic or manual processing. The recommended temperature is 90-95 deg F, depending on the processing cycle. 
 
Packaging: All types and sizes except the 14"x36" sheets are packaged in boxes of 100 sheets, non-interleaved; 14"x36" sheets are individually packed in boxes of 25. Cases contain 5 boxes.
